Booking & planning
Weddings are one of our specialties! We're one of the top-rated wedding DJ services in Illinois. We don't display banners at your wedding. We believe it should be all about you! We use our natural voice (not a radio DJ voice) and dress professionally in tuxedos. We provide detailed wedding planning and coordinate the entire reception.
Normally we have two DJs there: a Senior DJ who is also the emcee, and a second DJ who runs music and lighting. On larger events we may bring another staff member to assist. The lead DJ is normally the one who meets with you during planning. If that DJ can't make it, you'll be notified in advance and meet the replacement DJ if possible.
We're based in Danville, IL and regularly play across Central Illinois and west-central Indiana. We travel throughout Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and beyond by arrangement.
We normally like to set up the night before. This gives you an opportunity to decorate around us and allows us to be better prepared for your wedding. If we can't set up the night before, we arrive at least two hours early.
Music
Yes! We happily take requests that you allow at your event. If you don't want certain songs or types of music played, we respect that completely. We play what you want to hear!
Yes. For middle school, high school and college events we play clean, edited music that keeps everyone dancing safely.
Gear & backup
Yes! All of the equipment we use is professional grade, made by top manufacturers including Yamaha, Electro-Voice, Shure, Sennheiser, Chauvet, and more. We never bring home stereo equipment to your event.
We have never been late or missed an event in over 25 years. We bring backup computers, speakers and microphones (and we still carry CDs), and we have backup DJs for emergencies. If a DJ were in an accident on the way, another DJ would already be en route while we arrange a replacement as quickly as possible.
Plenty. We have lights that rotate, flash and move to the music, fog machines (low-lying and floating), and LED uplighting we can set to one color or let cycle to match your event.
The little details
No. We never display our banner at a wedding or light up our DJ booth. We'd rather light your table and the dance floor so guests watch you, not us. The only advertising at your wedding is our business cards on our table. We also use our normal, everyday voice rather than a radio or game-show voice (though if you'd prefer a radio voice, we can arrange it with a local radio DJ).
We dress professionally. For weddings we wear tuxedos (jacket, vest, pants, shirt and tie). For other events we wear our DJ uniform (black shirt with logo and black pants). We show up in regular clothes to set up and change before your event. We will never wear anything or act in a way that embarrasses you or your family.
We have a strict policy: no drinking, smoking, or drugs before, during, or after your event. This is also a policy of the American Disc Jockey Association (ADJA) that we follow.
We don't hand out our clients' contact details or post photos of you or your guests. We believe in protecting your privacy and safety. You can find us on Facebook, and we're happy to talk through any questions by phone.
